One thing that fascinates me is the surprising wonders that Mother Nature can give. Casaroro Falls is one of them. This Mother Nature’s gem is very much imprinted in my mind – its picturesque view, the sounds of the flowing water on those rocky boulders, the breeze that blows those tropical vegetations, the mist of the roaring water fall and the experience of being with nature again away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.
One of the few great looking and very popular waterfalls here in Negros Oriental. Casaroro is a tall waterfall, one the three waterfalls in Kampesa.Centrally located within a lush virgin forest, is a favorite spot for tourists. Within easy reach from Dumaguete City. This is my second trek to this nature’s wonder and I never get tired of it. Although I would say that the path is much easier today compared to those days when there was no stairways and bridges to get you to this majestic site. Treking to this wonder will give you the chance to bond with nature, escape from the stresses of daily life and relax in the refreshing fresh water pool of Casaroro. Come on and see yourself this Mother Nature’s wonder and you’ll be surprise that you can find a place to be with nature again.
Harolds Eco-lodge is also conveniently located near the area, providing campers and backpackers launching point to explore Casaroro Falls and the Cuernos de Negros/Mt. Talinis.
